Studio Photography Product Shot: Research
During my research I looked for how to take a product shot and how to photograph a perfume bottle. Thanks to the websites that I have have read through I have used a bit of the knowledge in my product shot. For example what type of lighting I should use.
Both of the website said to choose carefully the lighting so that it would suit the product. One of the websites talked about how to choose the right props and setting the scene to advertise the product correctly. For my shot I just ended up using a plain background and for the props I used two origami flowers that I have personally made for this project. I used the flowers so that the end product wouldn't look too plain.
Here are some of the points outlined in two of the pages that I have read through.
1. Don't be afraid to use your smartphone's camera.
1. 2. Shoot from a tripod for photo consistency.
1. 3. Choose natural light or artificial light.
1. 4. Fill or bounce your light to soften shadows.
1. 5. Use a sweep or portrait mode to emphasize the product.
1. 6. Shoot a variety of images.
