Studio Photography Lab 3 External Flash
For all of the photos below I used an external flash. In the first three images it isn't very evident that flash was used but it is very much visible in the last image where there is a harsh shadow behind the model.
For this picture I simply changed the position of the flash. Instead of it pointing directly at the subject, it was pointing to the ceiling so that there wouldn't be a harsh shadow.
To take this photo I put a green filter over the external flash that was sitting on top of the camera. I really like how this image has turned out and it is curtainly one of my favourites.
For this image of the model the flash was pointing directly at her but since her back wasn't too close to the wall then there was no intense shadow behind her. The room in which this was taken in was a bit darker than what is seen in the photo and that is because of the flash providing more light to the surounding area.
In this image it is quite evident that flash was used as the character's shadow is intense (behind the ear) and the skin is shining due to the light from the flash. The reason why the shadow turned out so harsh is because the flash was pointing directly at the subject.
