Bill Owens

Bill Owens 1938 American 

This photographer uses natural light in his photos to photograph regular people and their daily life. I like Owens’ work because it relates to the theme of my photo essay project. 

Bill Owens was born in 1938 and he first became interested in photography while working as a Peace corps volunteer in Jamaica.  

One of the Pictures that caught my eye was “group of people in living room.” The reason why I like it is because it shows just a couple of people sitting together and having conversations with each other and being casual.
