Digital Photography Lab 2 Photos

In this blog I'm going to share some of the photos I took during my Digital Photography class and talk a bit about them.

This is an image of one of many building at my campus. I took the picture using a Canon camera and while standing on a balcony that connects three buildings together. I personally think that it's a bit blurry because I couldn't get the camera to focus more so that the blurriness would be reduced. Some people might even say that the image is either underexposed or maybe even overexposed, but personally I think that it has just the right amount of brightness.

This is a picture that I took from underneath a tree. It seems to be just a little bit underexposed and a bit blurry due to the camera as i said before, but except for that I think that it's a pretty good photo and certainly one of the best ones that i took.

While walking on the balcony after taking the picture of the building, I looked inside it and decided to take a picture of the hallway as you can see above. for this one I had to change the setting on the camera in order to be able to see the hallway, otherwise if I used the same settings I used to take pictures of the outside scenery then i would end up with an almost pitch black photo. I really like how the yellow walls and locker are seen in this picture and how the hallway lights light it up.

Lastly I choose to put this picture on this blog to show how the photos will turn out if you use the same settings that you used for the outside as for the inside. As you can see the photo is way too underexposed as not much light is coming through to show the features of the stair case. If I took a picture with my phone of this stair case then the stairs would be more visible, but i used a camera with settings suitable for an outside scenerio which made the stairs look really dark, eventhough in reality they are more visible than in this image.

Over all during that fun activity, I learned how to use an actual camera and got a chance to get familiar with some of it's settings.
